He has shown up although he has taken many hits and probably will not be able to take another hard one. His knees are shot, and he cannot run out of the pocket. And in his best days, he threw a lot of interceptions. But we cannot start a lineman at quarterback.
So, we are grateful to Joe for suiting up.
Maybe we can find another quarterback with promise. If not, we will hit as hard as we can, pray for few good calls, and hope the ball bounces our way once or twice.
The team we must beat is tough; they will not play by the rules.
Joe may be a better quarterback than theirs, but we will need a good quarterback to win. Joe isn’t that quarterback anymore.
